Motivate yourself to be more productive!

02/29/2012

Feeling low on motivation? Use these sure-fire techniques to recharge your batteries.  Success takes time–sometimes longer than you'd like. If you're not careful, it's easy to become discouraged, and that makes it harder to achieve the success you deserve.

Here's a simple, seven-step plan to get your mojo back:

1. Define your purpose. Why are you working? Why are you doing this work? Only you can answer these questions. Some individuals are drawn to certain kinds of work, while others are simply looking for a payday or to feed their families. No purpose is inherently “better” than any other–but you need to know your purpose, so that the prospect of fulfilling that purpose keeps you motivated.

Should You Give Your Work Away for Free?

If you don’t devote a small percentage of your time to working for free, you’re missing out on a dimension of personal development and growth that you will never find anywhere else!  Most entrepreneurs don’t do pro bono work. (By pro bono I don’t mean for charity, I mean for another entrepreneur.)  Some say “pro bono” is Latin for “no way.” They say, “I’m against the idea of anyone working for free. I don’t think anyone should give away their profession.”

You probably agree. You invested significant time and money into your business or profession. You provide value.  You should receive value in return.  But sometimes free is valuable.  Aside from simply doing something nice for the sake of doing something nice (which has a value all its own) here are 11 more reasons why occasionally working for free—or for a big discount—can still provide value to you in return: :
1.       You get to stretch. Your processes are solid. Your operations are optimized. You’re a fine-tuned machine. You’re also a little stale and stuck in your ways.

02/20/2012

With an already heavy debt load and some ominous clouds still on the economic horizon, many people continue to be looking for ways to get a handle on their finances. We at,  Creating Success Life Coaching, not only want to provide hope to those who feel over their heads financially, but to also provide practical tools and resources to help them achieve financial freedom in their lives.  Many people will search for freedom in their use of both time and money, so that they can set priorities to ensure that they can do the important things in life.  Clearing up our financial confusion is similarly empowering. This list and an array of our personal money management tools, offer the means to find and maintain financial freedom, which means having priorities for managing money that are reflective of emotional and spiritual health. We realize that achieving financial freedom is a long-term process, so that’s why we offer these tools and resources to help the person or family through it.

10. Build a budget—Figure out why there's always more month left at the end of your money. Develop a monthly budget and make it your guide to financial freedom. "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3).  This plan is called a budget, and it will lead you to financial freedom.

Your need for a spending plan!

02/16/2012

If you were going to build a house, you would need a house plan. This plan would tell you the size of the house, and how big each room would be. It would tell you where the windows would go and how high to make the ceilings. You would see where to put in the plumbing for the bathrooms and kitchen. Obviously, you wouldn't be able to know all of these things without the house plan.

Obviously, plans are necessary in order to reach a goal. When a person decides to run for a public office, he or she makes out a plan that includes where to get the necessary financing and how much will be needed for advertising, marketing, and other office expenses. Teachers must have a plan for what they will teach each day, each week, and each month. They are required to plan out when to give tests and to measure their students’ progress throughout the year....(Click to learn more).

Are You a Victim of Modern Day Slavery?

02/13/2012

Have you ever came home, slammed the door, shouted at the dog, kicked the cat, and stifle or maybe not stifle an explicative?  The kids hide under the bed, while your wife carefully places your dinner on the table.

“It looks like Dad had a bad day,” whispered one of the little brothers hiding outside the line of fire. Lately, it seems that every day is bad for Dad. You are experiencing the stress of living in financial slavery.

It usually is not the case that you are poor or don’t earn enough money. In actuality, no salary would be enough. We are “slaves” in the spiritual sense when something takes God’s place in our lives. Financial slavery occurs when money and finances occupy the priority place in our lives that belongs to the Creator.

Let’s look at an example to see some of the most common symptoms of financial slavery.

Changing Behavior (part 2 of 6) Disorganization

02/08/2012

Picture
There are many behaviors that lead one down the path of success.
In 2011, research was conducted that studied six specific success-limiting habits that prevent achievers from the dreams they are working to achieve. These habits include:

•             Giving in to Discouragement
•             Working while Disorganized
•             Being Too Easily Distracted
•             Falling Prey to Procrastination
•             Placing Tasks Over People
•             Being Impatient With Others

I will endeavor to highlight these habits over the next several weeks, identify how they can affect a achiever’s ability to find success, and talk about how Creating Success Life Coaching can help an achiever overcome them.

Becoming More Organized

Disorganization can be the primary antagonist of success for many achievers, costing them valuable time and money. The statistics of disorganization in the workplace are abundant:

"Executives waste six weeks per year searching for lost documents."
